David Bowie: Blackstar (2016)

“Look up here, I’m in heaven…”

Chances are you’ve heard the news that rock legend David Bowie has stepped through the door to the other side. God speed, Ziggy Stardust.

You hear these stories about old couples who die within a few weeks of other, or people who stop working and then let go. It feels like the universe gave Bowie enough time to create one lasting album for us all to enjoy.

Known as an artist who constantly reinvented himself, Bowie’s final work or “parting gift” to fans is his one last imprint on the rock world. And it’s excellent.

I know many of you have personal experiences with Bowie albums from over the years. If you’re interested in sharing those experiences, feel free to contact me at dvyhnz@gmail.com. We’re going to celebrate his albums all week.
